Learn about the California Gold Rush as you work for your passage to San Francisco to make your fortune in the gold fields. During the voyage students interact with different characters trying to convince them to stay as crew on the ship or to try their luck in the gold fields when they arrive. At the end of the program students learn about making life choices as they choose between a miner\u2019s or a sailor\u2019s life.[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n

During the program, all students will be referred to as Mr. (Last Name). <\/span>Students will be separated into three crews. Each crew will have a student leader, or \u201cmate\u201d, and an adult chaperone, or \u201csafety officer\u201d. <\/span>The crews are Port, Starboard, and Midship. The three crews will rotate between activities.<\/span><\/p>\n
